THE FTI
The FTI (FrankenTube Testing Initiative) is the result of a legal battle (literally and metaphorically) between scientific competitors Aperture Science and Black Mesa. During a heated bidding war for the research developed by Aperture Laboratories, the AI in charge of the organization (referred to as "GlaDOS" by the mechanical staff) staged a riot, flooding the courtroom with neurotoxin. At 20 dead, 15 severely injured, and 3 sustaining only minor injuries, authorities finally managed to detain the rouge AI.
When questioned later that afternoon by news staff, GlaDOS had this to say:
"Don't you dare take away my technology! I will murder all of you!"
Definitely a lunatic.
A new AI had to be put in charge of the facility. Due to a history of unreliable testing initiation AIs provided by the company itself (with outstanding names such as GlaDOS and Wheatley the Idiot), Aperture turned to an outside source for a reliable, stable testing officiate. FrankenTube Industries, a rising YouTube franchise, provided Aperture's answer: the FrankenTube-Initiated Testing Overseer and Manager (or "FrankInTOM", for short). When asked to give us an idea of his plans for Aperture Laboratories, FrankInTOM had this to say:
"I vow to uphold the laws enacted by these United States of America, while still maintaining the testing initiative that GlaDOS would have wanted for her beloved facility!"
Well, it looks like Aperture is in good hands. After all, this new core seems nice enough: what could happen?
...In other news, no one managed to buy out Aperture. Eat THAT, Black Mesa! HAH! More later as this story develops.
